Peace Plantation Animal Sanctuary, located in Walton, New York, provides lifelong sanctuary to homeless animals – primarily cats and kittens, a few resident dogs and various farm animals.

Spay Today offers low-cost spay/neuter assistance to responsible caregivers of dogs and cats. With the help of local veterinarians, low-cost services are available in certain areas of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

The NHES Education & Advocacy Department provides many services including: local and national educational programs, annual summer camps, animal care information, action letters to hundreds of national and world leaders each year, and distribution of a variety of resource materials.

 

NHES Alliance Partner Program

 

In 2005, The Board of Directors of The National Humane Education Society (NHES) created the NHES Alliance Partner Program, which works collaboratively with and provides major funding to a select group of other deserving humane organizations, whose work embodies the successful implementation of NHES’s mission and/or one of NHES’s Guiding Principles.
