    This year's 2014 Cool to Care Camp was a great success!

    Camp Policies

    All camps will be held at Briggs Animal Adoption Center in Charles Town, WV.

    Sessions are Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm and based on grade level.

    Cost is $125 a child.

    PALS
    (Rising 1st-3rd Graders)

    HUMANE
    HEROES
    (Rising 4th-6th Graders)

    ANIMAL
    AMBASSADORS
    (Rising 7th-9th Graders)

     

    Pet Pals will focus on responsible pet care and kindness to animals. Campers will spend time with BAAC cats and dogs, make animal related arts and crafts, and learn how to be responsible caretakers of companion animals. Campers will learn the fundamentals of positive reinforcement training and will practice these methods with friendly shelter dogs.

     

    Humane Heroes take kindness and caring to the next level. Campers will discover ways they can help animals as well as learn about animal welfare related careers. Campers will make animal related arts and crafts, listen to guest speakers, participate in scavenger hunts, and play interactive games. Campers will learn the fundamentals of positive reinforcement training and will practice these methods with friendly shelter dogs.

     

    Animal Ambassadors will learn how to take action for animals. Campers will learn about various animal welfare issues and how they can improve animal welfare in their community. Campers will spend time with BAAC cats and dogs, listen to guest speakers, participate in scavenger hunts, and learn how to speak up for animals. Campers will learn the fundamentals of positive reinforcement training and will practice these methods with friendly shelter dogs.
