*** About Mrs. Anna C. Briggs
At nearly 100 years old, NHES founder, Mrs. Anna C. Briggs, has been helping animals for more than 80 years. Much of her early efforts include advocating for sentient beings by writing to public officials on their behalf. Mrs. Briggs urged our nation’s leaders in Washington D.C. to take action to protect animals from cruelty and suffering. She has since written hundreds of letters, articles, and essays, and nearly a dozen books advocating the humane treatment of animals. # |
