Hugo Boss to Stop Using Fur in Creation of Apparel - National Humane Education Society

pawsupPaws Up!

To the designer fashion brand Hugo Boss for eliminating feathers and fur from company product lines.

According to a recent news article, Hugo Boss will discontinue the sale of apparel made from animal fur and feathers starting in the Fall/Winter 2016 season. Like many high fashion brands, Hugo Boss previously purchased fur from ranches that raise animals including raccoon dogs Factory Farms FUR rabbit fur morguefileand rex rabbits. Farmed on fur ranches, these animals suffer from malnutrition and cramped, unsanitary conditions until being painfully slaughtered for their skins. In an effort to improve corporate ethics, Hugo Boss will be joining other designer brands including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren, in a company decision to discontinue the sale of fur products.

Take action: Thank Hugo Boss for committing to a fur-free fashion line. Do not purchase clothing from companies that continue to use fur, and contact those companies to express your disapproval.
