Update: KY Veterinarians Are Now Allowed to Report Suspected Animal Abuse - National Humane Education Society

Paws Up!
July 31, 2020

Kentucky used to be the only state where veterinarians were NOT allowed to report suspected animal abuse due to confidentiality reasons. At the beginning of 2020, the introduction of Senate Bill 21 hoped to change that. With the signing of SB 21, veterinarians no longer have their hands tied when confronted with treating an animal they suspect is suffering from abuse.

Take Action: Kentuckians show your support for the passage of SB 21 by thanking Governor Beshear today!
