Come to NHES’ animal care facility, the Briggs Animal Adoption Center (BAAC), for an inside look at one of the nation’s finest animal shelters! To ensure the safety and comfort of BAAC’s animals, tours will be limited to a maximum of 20 total participants, including adult chaperones. Tours are completely free, but donations are greatly appreciated. Our humane educators will work with your group to tailor a tour and program to fit your group’s needs.
Reservations are required. Virtual tours are available for classrooms and large groups. For more information or questions, please email education2@nhes.org.
To ensure that everyone, including animals, stays safe and has a pleasant visit, we ask all children/youth to abide by a standard of conduct which includes: following all staff directions, demonstrating respectful and safe interactions with animals, and respecting the NHES property. If children/youth disregard instructions from staff during the tour, they will be asked to wait in the BAAC lobby with their parent/guardian/group leader until the tour ends.
