Animals Suffering in Kiev Zoo - National Humane Education Society
Life is difficult enough for animals confined to zoos but for those at the Kiev Zoo, life is unbearable. The zoo was expelled from the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria and has been accused of various violations, such as purchasing medication for deceased apes, illegally selling hyenas, and misallocating funds. In addition, the zoo has been accused of having no basic standards of care and there have been an unusually high number of animal deaths.
Write the director urging all the animals in the Kiev Zoo be relocated to animal sanctuaries where they can live out the rest of their lives peacefully. In addition, if you live near a zoo and find that the conditions for the animals are intolerable, please write to zoo officials requesting better treatment of the animals or their relocation to appropriate sanctuaries.

Hello,
Saw videos and news online about the Kyiv Zoo and wanted to donate towards the cost of food for the animals. It has been in existence since the early 1900’s. An online site with a name like EAZY??? is collecting donations for the zoo’s in the Ukraine.
It indicates that they have direct contact with this zoo, but that it is not a member. So I was wary about donating to that org. I emailed the Kyiv Zoo directly about donating, but have not heard back.
Where is a legitimate for making donations for the relocation and/or food for the animals still at the Kyiv Zoo?
