December 15, 2017

To Tempe, Arizona Councilmembers Lauren Kuby and Randy Keating in Tempe, Arizona, for proposing a ban for continuous dog tethering.

Dog tethering legislation is sweeping throughout cites in the United States in an effort to create a more humane life for dogs that are continually tethered outside. According to a recent news article, lawmakers in Tempe, Arizona, are proposing a ban on unsupervised tethering.  Canine companions who are tethered in all types of weather suffer physically from the elements and behaviorally as a result of constant isolation.  If passed, anyone found guilty of noncompliance may face a $500 fine.
