End Pound Seizure in Minnesota - National Humane Education Society

Many shelters around the country sell unadopted animals to research laboratories. The term is called pound seizure. Shelters enter in contractual agreements to supply laboratories unadopted cats and dogs. The founders of the shelter movement could never have envisioned that one day the very animals their movement sought to protect would be sold the research laboratories. Minnesota is one state that has entered into such contracts. But if HF 1098 and SF 705 are passed, the dogs and cats in Minnesota shelters will be spared a gruesome end of life as research animals.

Minnesota residents, write polite letters urging your legislators to support HF 1098 in the House and SF 705 in the Senate. End the practice of pound seizure in your state.
