According to a news source, “After years of a relatively unchanged menu, Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. has added soup to its menu.

“Chicago-area restaurants…[were handing] out free samples of posole soup” recently. The soup is now an item on their menus. “The chain’s home market—Denver—is the only other market to have the new item, says Chairman and Co-CEO Steve Ells.”

Posole soup is “made without any animal products — with a tomato and hominy base, vegetables, and seasoned with spices like cumin and fresh herbs like oregano.”

Selecting a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle helps the planet, the animals, and us. Consider adding vegetarian/vegan options to your menu at home or at a restaurant.

Take Action: Send a note of thanks to Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., for adding vegan soup to the menu. In addition, let the company know you want to see more vegetarian/vegan items on their menu. If your favorite restaurant doesn’t have several selections of vegetarian/vegan options on its menu, suggest the owner “get with the times.”
