Doggy Easter Egg Hunt
Get ready for some outdoor fun with your canine companion(s) as you explore our NHES Campus hunting for eggs during our 4th Annual Doggy Easter Egg Hunt on April 12, 2025.
Thank you so much to everyone who braved the light rain to have fun with their pups! We want to give a special shout out to our volunteer who dressed up as the Easter Bunny. We can’t wait to see everyone next year! The tentative date for next year’s egg hunt is March 28, 2026.

10th Annual Dubs & Dogs Car Show
The Dubs and Dogs Volkswagen Car Show is back again this year hosted by our premiere sponsor, Dëutschwurx. Enjoy viewing an array of 1950’s-current VW’s, Audis, and Porsches.
The event is free to the public, but we greatly appreciate any donations of cat or dog food for our emergency pet food pantry to help families in need.
We are looking forward to another amazing time to help raise funds to care for the homeless cats and dogs at The National Humane Education Society’s animal care facility, BAAC. Mark your calendar to join us for some summer fun while helping animals in need.

Founder’s Day Event
In celebration of all that our kind supporters have helped us accomplish over the years for animals; we created a special event that takes place around the date that Anna C. Briggs founded The National Humane Education Society (NHES) on September 15, 1948.
We celebrate the mission of fostering kindness to animals in children and adults and spread awareness about our adoption center, Briggs Animal Adoption Center, and spay/neuter program, Spay Today, by hosting family-friendly activities each year.
