Sugar Faces: Uncle Jimi & Sneezer $5,000 Match

A dear friend, Judi Miller, stepped forward to make another Matching Gift Challenge. She generously donated $5,000 to help care for all the Sugar Faces at NHES. Judi is making this challenge in memory of her uncle Jimi and his companion dog, Sneezer, a female Jack Russel.

Her Uncle Jimi lived a colorful life that included an immense lover for Sneezer, “a pound puppy,” who ended up bringing smiles to hundreds of “human” Sugar Faces in nursing homes across Baltimore, MD. Of their visits to the nursing homes, Jimi said, “It’s just a little thing to bring a little happiness in the world.” And that is just what Jimi and Sneezer brought – happiness to an untold number of “human” Sugar Faces in nursing homes.

Charlie, our Sugar Face, is smiling because he has been given the chance to find a forever home where, we hope, his memories of his past suffering will be forgotten. For Avis, Slim, and all our other Sugar Faces, we hope they too will find their forever homes.
