Why spay or neuter
Healthier pets, fewer homeless animals
Spaying (females) and neutering (males) is a routine surgery that prevents pets from reproducing, and it’s 100% effective.
- Prevents unplanned litters of puppies and kittens
- Helps prevent some serious health problems, including cancers of the reproductive organs
- Reduces roaming, yowling, fighting, and marking
- Spayed and neutered dogs are less likely to bite
- Fewer animals end up homeless or in shelters

Community and feral cats
Some of our participating veterinarians help spay and neuter feral and community cats. We also lend humane traps so you can safely bring cats in for surgery.
Trap, Neuter, Return
What is TNR?
Community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, and returned to their outdoor home. It stops the cycle of new litters.
Humane traps
Borrow a trap
Spay Today leases humane traps to help you safely collect cats for their surgery appointment.
