Paws Up!
July 31, 2020
Kentucky used to be the only state where veterinarians were NOT allowed to report suspected animal abuse due to confidentiality reasons. At the beginning of 2020, the introduction of Senate Bill 21 hoped to change that. With the signing of SB 21, veterinarians no longer have their hands tied when confronted with treating an animal they suspect is suffering from abuse.
Take Action: Kentuckians show your support for the passage of SB 21 by thanking Governor Beshear today!
Please allow vets to speak up about suspected animal abuse!
Thank you Governor Beshear.
Please allow vets to report those who abuse animals!
Helpless animals have no voice. Please allow those who come in contact with them report suspected abuse. Any living creature deserves our help and compassion.
Thank you Governor Beshear!! I wish more Governors have the courage to speak out and address issues of animal abuse like you have.
