In celebration of all that our kind supporters have helped us accomplish over the years for animals; we created a special event that takes place around the date that Anna C. Briggs founded The National Humane Education Society (NHES) on September 15, 1948.

NHES Paw Bash
We celebrate the mission of fostering kindness to animals in children and adults and spread awareness about our 70+ year legacy through Animal Rescue, Humane Education,
This year, two beloved NHES traditions are coming together for one special celebration! NHES Founders Day and our Adoption Alumni Reunion will be held on a new date and at a new location.
Join us for our new NHES Paw Bash on Sat. October 17th from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Rotary Pavilion at Poor House Farm Park in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This family-friendly event will feature a Color Run, fall activities, a photo booth, and a special reunion for families who have adopted from Briggs. (Blessing of the Animals TBD).
Please note that this year’s celebration will not take place on its traditional date or at Briggs. Additional event and registration information will be announced soon!
