To Dr. Adam Stern of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine for creating two programs to help bring justice for forgotten animals who have succumbed to abuse.

According to a recent article, two programs at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine have helped to shed light on the deaths of homeless cats and dogs who may have perished at the hands of animal abusers. These programs, poignantly named A Cat Has No Name, and A Dog Has No Name, were created by Dr. Adam Stern. The autopsies are documented and hope to aid law enforcement in suspected animal abuse cases using the data collected. The programs are funded solely from donations, and over one hundred unexplained deaths have been studied to date.
