Nordstrom Will Cease to Sell Fur & Exotic Animal Skin Items by 2021 - National Humane Education Society

Paws Up!
September 30, 2020

To Nordstrom for choosing to end selling items made from fur or other exotic animal skins by 2021.

Millions of animals suffer in the name of fashion. As their suffering is brought to light, some have decided to change by banning the sale of fur and have even gone a step further banning exotic skins. Here is a small sampling of designer brands that have made the compassionate and humane decision to go fur-free:

  • Calvin Klein
  • Tommy Hilfiger
  • Ralph Lauren
  • Hugo Boss
  • Michael Kors
  • The North Face

Nordstrom has chosen to help decrease animal suffering by banning any items sourced from fur-bearing animals and exotic animals. In 2019, California passed Assembly Bill 44, making it the first state to ban the sale of fur. It will go into effect in 2023.

Take Action: Please contact Nordstrom,  contact@nordstrom.com, and thank them for taking this step to help end the suffering of millions of animals who are sourced for fashion.
